This weekend, soak in the sights, sounds, and scents of Christmas at The Bookcase in Wayzata. The Bookcase is one of the oldest bookshops in the Twin Cities (it probably is the oldest for all I know). This weekend is a perfect time to check it out with your kids since picture books will be featured. And these picture books events will put the Scroogiest Scrooge into the holiday spirit.
The Christmas Wish
Saturday, December 14, 2013
2:00 pm
Lori Evert (wife and author) and Per Breiehagen (husband and photographer) will celebrate the holidays with you sharing their brand new book. It was published just this year, so it’s a perfect book for this Christmas. Snuggle up with these authors as they spin a sweet yarn about a young girl named Anja who wants to be one of Santa’s elves. The realistic photographs make this book come to life and you will want to sink your teeth into the magical taste of this book.
One Frozen Lake
Sunday, December 15, 2013
2:00 pm
Deborah Jo Larson brings to life one of Minnesota’s favorite past-time in this beautiful, heartwarming book about ice fishing. The Bookcase warmly welcomes this vibrant author to their store to enjoy the cold winter of Minnesota. While it’s not a Christmas book per se, One Frozen Lake fits right into the holiday/winter themes of the season!
You won’t want to miss getting to know these authors and picking up a book or two — and then having the authors sign them for you — so make your way over to The Bookcase in Wayzata. There’s no cozier feeling than a warm bookstore scented with cinnamon (not that The Bookcase will smell like cinnamon, but I can imagine that it does).
